TEA
Good evening. Still feeling stuffed up and sneezing. I think we have lost the war with fighting the cold. Vaporizer will help tonight. Chicken soup tasted good. Snow will arrive tonight into tomorrow morning. Only 2 inches expected. Yesterday we shopped at Aldi. Bought 3 small Primrose potted plants. Two yellow and one white. Should chase any winter blues away. Also bought a light and fluffy throw (50″ x 60″) in silver gray color. Only $10. Should make me feel warm and cozy on the couch watching TV. Have a good evening. Good night and God Bless ♥ .

Have a cozy evening under your new throw! Hate the stuffy feeling of a cold, so pray tomorrow is better for you. It is so extremely cold here, haven’t even been outside, probably why I don’t catch anything, or one reason. Counting my blessings.

TEA

Thanks June ♥ I am closing computer down for the night. A nice cup of tea with honey and wrapped in the throw will feel good. Good night. ♥

like me before diet!LOL You sound like DD who fights carb cravings, while I want sweets!

Here’s something to cheer a person up on a winter’s day…my brother stopped by
with a big check for my DH…I knew he’d get paid for the last job he did…he only charges
for parts but my mom throws in extra….but I didn’t remember a couple jobs he’d
done earlier that he wasn’t paid for…what a surprise! I don’t know if he will remember either,
probably not!

TEA

What a nice surprise…..extra cash is always nice to have.

The winter blues seem to be common around here since we aren’t getting as much sunlight during these months. I’m not sure how many actually have SAD though, which can be pretty severe. I feel kind of bad with the time change in the fall…don’t like at all when it gets dark so early. Now, every day it stays light out just a tiny bit later. We have sunshine today which is good, it helps. What I do….well…sometimes not much…kind of mope around, feel tired and unmotivated, depressed (although that could also be from things that are happening in my… Read more »

I really don’t like feeling cold so don’t like to get out and walk which I enjoy doing in the nice weather.
I always feel better when I can get out and walk. On the weekend I do enjoy the short walks
with DH and the dogs….perks me up, and them too! cheese

TEA

Many people suffer from the winter blues. It is good you understand it and do have good ideas that help. I wish for more sunshine for the rest of the winter in your area.

wow……freezing pictures give me the chills.

Now of course, I must ask, being the type of person I am. blush Is that Celsius or Fahrenheit? I believe Russia uses Celsius, which makes it even more amazing, since that would be -112 in Fahrenheit. You can also tell it is Celsius because the thermometer only goes up to about 50 degrees. blush

..I wrote down -80F so that is all I know. Just unbelievably cold!

Lynn

pics remind me of when my DS came in from running and it looked like
icicles on his face!

Good morning friends ♥ Woke up feeling congested and stuffy nose. Taking Ester C, Echinacea and zinc to boost immune system. DH and I have been fighting off a cold for over a month. It comes and goes. Chicken soup will be on the menu today. About 2″ of snow snowflake will arrive late afternoon into tomorrow morning. Have a good day. ta ta

So sorry you and DH are having on and off colds…I would knock wood for not having one, but that would hurt! I think I will post some Siberian photos above because they are unbelievable that folks and animals survive -80 below and still live there!

TEA

I would rather see pictures of the tropics…..ha ha
Not feeling so chipper.

Lynn

HI Tea…hope you feel better soon….good idea to take something to fight it off…
I usually take Airborne if I’ve been around people (especially if someone is coughing)
or if I feel like i might be coming down with something. I know some take Coldeeze when they
think they are getting a cold….what you take sounds good. Hope you are resting today.

TEA

Taking the immune boosters seem to fight the on coming cold……but sometimes you lose the war. Hoping for the best.

Good morning! Getting a late start! They called off school for DD and I am glad..can’t imagine kids standing out in below zero waiting for bus. Thinking back it is a wonder some of us made it. We had snow on the inside of our bedroom window, and the only heat was out in the dining room from a stove with no vents to push it into other rooms. I don’t think school was called off then, but we may have just had to stay home. Have a good Tuesday…haven’t planned my day yet, much to do inside while waiting… Read more »

TEA

Good morning June ♥ Keep warm with those below zero temperatures. I remember schools closing because of snow storms as a child. Mom would make hot chocolate for all our friends as we played outside in the snow. I carried on the tradition with my children and their friends. Tradition ended there. bigfrown I am glad you are well stocked up on food. Today would be a good day to make your vegetable soup. Have a warm and cozy Tooosday.

Thanks, Tea…and I hope you feel better as the day goes on. I thought DD would stay inside today as her school was called off, but no, she texts and has to go to the bank to find out more about telephone app!LOL

TEA

Still feeling stuffed up and sneezing ……. …will run vaporizer tonight.
