Live Stork Nest

You are watching live broadcasts of wild Storks nesting. On the first camera is a pair of mating White Storks in Gögglingen, Germany. The bedding is made mostly of sticks mixed with green moss. The 2nd camera is a Black Stork nest in the Gemenc forest of Hungary - Note: If the screen is black it's night time.

It is a rainy (off and on) sort of day in Gogglingen with moisture on the cam lens. The skies are brighter now at almost 2:30 p.m., Tues., 1-16. I haven’t seen a stork but they don’t seem to visit in the wet weather days as they do when it clear. Just checking in – cheerio for now.

Carolyn

So – at 2:00 p.m. (Mon., 1-15) there are no storks on the nest for now – hope to see one tomorrow.

I didn’t see a stork today.

Carolyn

Left the cam for a bit and now at 12:21 p.m., Mon., 1-15, the stork has departed. I will be checking for the next hour or so and will post a sighting if this stork returns or the other stork visits the nest.

Carolyn

NEWS FLASH – a stork is on the nest now at 11:50 a.m., 1-15. I got up to do one thing after posting below and voila – a stork has arrived – HOORAY!!!!!!! What a lovely way to begin a new week. This is a different stork than the one I usually have seen because the dark I.D. leg band is on his/her RIGHT leg – not the left. As usual, the stork is very beautiful. :):)

It is almost noon in Gogglingen – a gorgeous very sunny day – but I haven’t seen any storks. Official nest time is: 11:45 a.m. , Monday, 1-15. You have to wonder where the storks are????? – and when we will see them again????

Carolyn

No stork sightings for me yesterday (1-13) nor thus far today, Sunday, 1-14. Nest time is 2:48 p.m.. The weather has cleared up the past 2-3 days. I hope someone gets to see a stork before dark today. I am about to check out for now. Funny how quickly we adapt to the pleasure of seeing a stork on the nest; then when a few days go by without seeing one, we feel the loss.

Carolyn

Stork on the nest at 7:00 a.m., Friday, 1-12-18 – quite the early bird today. I don’t think he/she spent the night as I was checking the cam before dawn and shortly thereafter and there was no stork then. Goody – hope he/she spends the morning with us who are watching
