Hi All!, I guess I am without my former avitar but it is I.🇨🇦 I will get all settled with SPO and be official once again. I’ve been frozen by the cold this winter. Having gone out the door today for the first time in a month I see I am not frozen just freezing! The last afternoon that the lake was open9Dec26) we had a flock of 14 swans and 2 Eagles. It was a wonderful day. Then the weather took over, o my gosh it has been tiring. I loced seeing the Florida Eagles when I peeked in… Read more »

Always good to hear from you, Kathy. I hope that our East Coast and Northern Friends experience a thaw very soon. Stay well and warm.

Good to see. Here’s a pic from last night’s sunset over the nests. It’s been warm and wonderful in Catalina.

Happy 1st 15th of the year! Get it? All you robot fighters once you register with SPO and put in a user name and password you no longer have to fight the robot! Hope all are doing good and that we all have a good year, Eagles included!

I am registered with user name and password and it still asks me to fight Robocop.

Happy Mid January. Yeah, I feel your pain Steve with the Robot stuff. We are experiencing usually warm weather and are grateful for a break from all the devastating wildfires and mudslides over the last few months. It certainly is great to see some of the “oldies” on here again. Feeling nostalgic about Wray, MeToo, MidSib and Zilla today.

Frank

This picture still brings a tear or two.

Happy 15th to all nest rangers – great hearing cyber voices of Steve and Lillian. I hope everyone’s new year has gone well thus far. I tried posting a link about Wisdom, the 67-year old (latest estimate of her age) Laysan Albatross who has laid yet another egg in the nest she returns to on Midway Is. but my post disappeared so I won’t try it again. Anyway, have a good January 2018. I cannot wait to see eggs here in these nests. Oh, and N.E. Florida eagle nest has two newly hatched bobbleheads – Hooray!!!!!

Carolyn
I’m also checking in a bit early on the 15th – just great hearing cyber voices of Steve and Lillian – hope everyone’s new year has gone well thus far. I am seeing two white storks on the Gogglingen, Germany live cam. It seems awfully early to be seeing them but there they are. And if anyone keeps tabs on Wisdom, the Laysan Albatross who is so famous for her longevity (they are guessing she is 67 now) just laid her egg for this season – nest is located on Midway Island. Amazing. Here is the link re Wisdom –… Read more »
