CONGRATS, NCTC! View of the egg at the 04:36:17 pm mark on 2/10/25 Camera #2.

The NCTC Eagle nest is located about a 1/4 mile from the Potomac River near Shepherdstown, West Virginia USA. It is the current home for Bald Eagles named Scout(male) and Bella(female).

Last nesting season the NCTC Eagle mom laid 3 eggs. One of the eggs got damaged and removed from the nest bowl. In an unfortunate turn of events the male eagle did away with the other two eaglets. Many have thought the reason for this was due to the male eagle not being mature enough at that time. Hopefully this year has a much better turn out.

Last seasons timeline 2024: 3 eggs laid. 1st egg laid 02/27/24 2nd egg 3/1/24 3rd egg laid 3/4/24.

Bald Eagles start incubation after the last egg is laid. Incubation lasts about 34-36 days before hatching begins.
