-Momma Barn owl finally moved her eggs and owlets back to the center of the nest box. We can see 5 of the 7 eggs have hatched. The other 2 should be hatching soon. I counted 8 dead rats? in the nest box waiting to be consumed. Talk about pest control! It takes a lot of food to raise that many owlets and feed themselves at the same time. It is surprising to see that many though.
