Decorah Eagles – Decorah, Iowa.

You are watching a live broadcast of the Decorah Eagles nest cam. The male Eagle(slightly smaller in size) and female Eagle both help in incubation of the eggs and will also both provide food for the eaglets after they hatch. Good morning, Kiddo – geesh, it looks like your temps – along with high humidity, will be fairly high till the end of this week – and I sure hope that’s the end of the high temps for this year! (any chance of that actually happening??)!

That’s for darn sure!! I watch our weather temps every day, just waiting for what looks like the end of temps over 80 – and right now, our highs for today and the next 2 days will be 85, 89, 85….after that no temps above 83 – I can handle that.

Did a quick basement dive to catch up. Busy weekend with family and grandkids here. We have them for a few days so won’t be chatting much this week. Hope you all have a good week. Watching the highlights sure does cool you down but I’m not ready for snow. Night all!

Evening all. WOW. If you like thunder storms, my new house is perfect for you! (Me. not so much) Since we are up on a hill we get a lot of wind, and the lightening just seems to be all over the place! Poor Oliver hates storms and keeps going under DH’s recliner (not good for Oliver if DH doesn’t know he’s under there) put Oliver in the linen closet with his cat bed and just kept the door open enough so he could leave when ready. He seemed to be content there. Power went out (in the middle of… Read more »

Hey Pam! Sorry to hear about water in the basement!!!!!
Thanks for replying to my question. I live in a rambler/ranch house too w/o all the land. I am thankful we dont have stairs but i sure wish we had basements out here. No one does as the ground is too hard, it is caliche (Arizona soils have a lot of clay and are very alkaline as a result. Beneath the surface soil there is often a very hard-to-penetrate layer called caliche.) At;east in MN we had basements, more room and more storage.

Hi Pam, bummer about water issues we live by a river that has flooded but thankfully no water in house, It takes time but you will adjust, everything knew is tough

Sounds terrible. Sorry the previous owner wasn’t honest with you. My cats hate thunderstorms, and we have had a lot the past 2 days, and they hide under the couch with their Mom. Only my grey male cat comes by me for comfort. Understand what you mean about the recliner. My little girl cat sleeps underneath my husband’s recliner and he has to be careful when he puts the foot section down.

Sorry about your thunderstorms Pam, we’ve had several that have had a lot of lightning and got over an inch of rain 2 days ago. A shame you weren’t told about the flooding issue, does your house have any kind of warranty or could you go back to the owner? Hope you can figure a way to keep the water from running in, maybe a different shape to the landscape? Frustrating to have that problem. Hope you all grow to enjoy the house.

Good Monday morning, Pam – geesh, I’m sorry about the water that washes down your driveway in a rainstorm, and water that can come into the basement – that one you can fix – or a “basement guy” can fix it – but the water washing down the driveway…yikes, I don’t know how you could remedy that one! ! I’m glad you got the ranch home – it honestly does sound wonderful to me. And I can’t help you with Oliver and storms, LOL ,but I bet you’ll fall in love with this house big time – and you’ll make… Read more »

Didn’t get a lot done today. Got my nails done this morning. My friend usually does it but her daughter had a baby on Thursday so she has been in Syracuse since then. So I went to a salon. Different! Came home , had lunch and watched an Hallmark movie. It was very relaxing. Did a little gardening, fed my cats dinner. A lazy day for me.
