-Egg #2 arrived early evening 11/17/24 in Cam 2. Florida Barn Owls.
For the last 6 clutches she has laid all of her eggs 2 days apart except the last egg. Sometimes she has laid it 3 days later. The closer together barn owl eggs are laid, the better chances of survival. The reason being then the owlets will be closer in size and less likely to kill each other off.

Barn Owls incubate their eggs for 32 days on average before they hatch. Incubation starts after the first egg is laid.
Here are how many eggs she has laid for each of the previous clutches starting with the most recent: 4,5,7,6,4,6
In looking at those numbers to me the trend shows she might be due to lay a larger clutch this time. We will soon find out! ๐
