Loon Nest Live Cams

The nests are in a shallow bog area of a lake in New Hampshire. Nesting season starts in May. Once eggs are laid incubation occurs for 28 days before hatching. The local time is displayed on the bottom left of the videos. For more information about this camera or to make a donation please visit loon.org.

Nesting Information:

1st egg laid 5/24 at 10:45 pm. 2nd egg laid 5/27 at 11:14 am. Estimated hatch June 22-24th 2019. On 5/28, one of the eggs was kicked out of the nest by the male. Remaining egg hatched and sadly the chick was taken by an Eagle.

Yes Judith. Yesterday I saw one parent going in the lake while the other immediately went to sit on the eggs!

First season watching. Have checked in many times daily for several weeks.. Never seen an exchange of adults. Is there a bonded pair of loons at this site? Beautiful location.
