I texted Chris this morning that we were without power, phone, internet….it only lasted
a couple hours….found out it was an equipment malfunction at a substation. Hope
it doesn’t happen again during the winter storm.

Glad it was only for a short time.

Good afternoon…….my tree is still up…I would have left the ornaments on it if I’d known that it would still
be up…guess I should have known with DH being so extremely busy now. He took off the afternoon to
work on his rentals. We might be getting a winter storm tomorrow and over the weekend…snow, blowing
and drifting, bitter cold. Have a good evening….will try and stop by later.

Hi Lynn. You could make some snowflakes and decorate your tree for winter. love I have snowflakes in our windows. Your bad weather will be coming our way. Take care and have a nice evening.

if I had my little tree with the white lights up, I could hang hearts on it for Valentine’s day, would
look pretty! But my tree has white and colored lights.

We have some snow starting. Grass is a little white. Strange as we haven’t had any since early November. Will get dumped on this weekend. I did get to grocery store. Bought a chicken I’m going to put in air fryer tonight. Going thru Christmas cards and really looking at them and reading them. Find I don’t look that deeply when you get a lot and so busy during the holidays. Then will recycle. I have a recipe you all can try. You buy a small box of jello. Regular or diet. Bring water to a boil and mix one… Read more »

HI Jean….I keep some of my cards (have pretty Christmas boxes to put them in…recycle some…
and make some into gift tags for presents and gift bags…I cut or tear off the front cover….
(as long as there is no writing on the other side)…cut a hole with a hole punch..and string
a ribbon (I just use recycled ribbon that were on gifts)…through it, and you have a nice gift tag.
Not that you have to do that but I enjoy doing it.

I make those gift tags too Lynn. It is a fun project in the winter.

yes it is…I learned about it from a friend who sells jewelry and pottery….she showed me how
and still makes them….do you use those fancy scissors to cut around the card? Makes
it pretty. I bought the scissors in the craft section at Walmart, makes scalloped edges.

I have 3 pair of craft scissors with different designs. I use them often for many craft projects. I buy plain colored gift bags and decorated them with all sorts of cards I recycle.

Hi Jeanne. How long does it take to cook a whole chicken in the air fryer? I heard they really eat up the electricity. I am thinking about purchasing one…………but do not have much counter space left and don’t want to lift anything heavy to store. Jello mold sounds interesting and will try it. Thanks for sharing. Take care and be safe in the approaching snow storms.

I cooked my 3 1/2 pound chicken at 400 for 30 minutes and turned it over so breast side up. Sprayed that side with a little olive oil. Another 30 minutes. Perfect. We took our flour and sugar canisters off counter and put our air fryer there. We use our air fryer quite often and don’t bake much anymore with flour or sugar so it’s there and not in the way. Haven’t checked our electric bill but I will.

Had to post more Benny photos, especially when mom is wearing one of my Christmas gift hats. I think the stone of their present home is the same color as new home which is now expected to be finished in early spring!

Thanks all for noticing…must say sometimes I have to see photos to believe how fast Benny is growing, and what good parents and grandparents he has….one lucky child. These days we can all keep track with photos as everyone is so busy visits are far in between. We are gong into the deep freeze tomorrow and over the weekend. Can’t believe the forecasts below zero now. Thanks Chris, Jean, Lynn, and Tea. I am afraid my head is swimming again with ideas for crafts and paintings…must narrow it down.

So nice to not be so stressed out hearing the word “snow” in the forecast. This weekend could be a bad one.
