HNF
-For whatever reason this eagle pair decided to pack up and move after nesting season was over this last spring(2024). They didn’t move very far though. Only about 20ft away from their old nest and in the same tree to boot. Yes, they built another nest about 20ft below the previous one. With that came a new camera fixed in an ideal position at the new nest. We are excited to see what the new nest will bring. Egg laying usually starts in mid to late February here.
More about the nest and eagles:
This nest is located about a 1/4 mile from the Potomac River near Shepherdstown, West Virginia USA. It is the current home for Bald Eagles named Scout(male) and Bella(female). Cam2 is facing the old nest which they still visit frequently. Cam1 and the lower cam are both pointed at the new nest.
