-All day yesterday(3/9/25), the three tiny bundles of fluff were well fed. As they tumbled over each other to reach the food, it was sometimes hard to keep track of them. Chick3 received plenty of food, including some pieces meant for Chick1.
When chicks first hatch, their vision is poor, allowing them to see only shadows, just enough to follow their parents’ beaks. Chick3’s vision will improve with time, and it is already getting better at finding food. Although it still rolls over more than the others, it recovers quickly.
All three chicks are healthy and developing well, and they are being fed properly by Jackie and Shadow. This morning(3/10/25), Chick3 was fed first, along with the others. Stay tuned and donโt forget to sign up for our email updates! ๐ฅฐ
