Our resident goose made her way back to the Decorah Eagles N2B nest yesterday. She was greeted by an eagle perched by the nearby pond, several other geese honking, song birds and more. After surveying the area for about 5 minutes her mate decided to join her at the nest. They both proceeded to make all sorts of noise as Canada geese do. Then she sat down and it looked like she might be ready to lay an egg. Not so fast, but it most likely won’t be long as the first egg was laid here last year on March 9th 2024.
