I really wish it wasn’t so.. It looks like the egg might have broke sometime in the early hours today. Mom eagle removed the remaining shell out of the nest bowl. In this video you can see the egg shell and her looking down into the empty nest bowl.😞

The question remains. Will they start a 2nd clutch? It is pretty unlikely, but this is nature and you just never know.
