-In this video you will see the Chickadee mom sitting on her nest. On the outside view you will notice another chickadee. That Chickadee decided to attempt a full takeover of the nest box. After a fight, it appeared to have won. After this, a few days passed and a Chickadee kept showing up at the box. We think it’s the intruder. She re-arranged everything and has laid 4 eggs so far. She has been spending the night in the box, but hasn’t started incubation yet. Most likely she will lay a couple more eggs before starting incubation. When you watch the live cam if you don’t see any eggs it’s because Chickadees always cover their eggs when leaving the nest.
