-In this video you will see Shadow on guard at the nest while snow flakes and rain fall. The smaller chick(named Gizmo) looks to be entertained by the falling snow. At one point, during an open mouthed yawn, he might have even caught some. Gizmo also appeared to peck at a few. Once in the air and another time on his siblings back! ๐ After a few minutes into the video you will see Shadow try his best to shield the eaglets and provide warmth. At this stage of development the eagle chicks can handle cold well, but their feathers aren’t quite developed enough to shield off water like Shadows. So a little warmth and protection from Dad goes a long ways. ๐ฅฐ
