The Mesabi miner arrived at port in Duluth last night at around 10:20pm. It was headed to be loaded with taconite pellets. From Duluth the destination is not yet known, but it will be unloaded at one of the great lakes ports either on the Canada side or US side. Lately, a fair amount of iron ore has been unloaded at the Thunder Bay, Ontario port. All taconite loaded from Minnesota is mined on northern Minnesota’s iron range.
