๐Ÿ”Ž **Arthur M. Anderson**

1. Famous for being the last ship in contact with SS Edmund Fitzgerald before her tragic sinking in 1975.

2. The first rescue ship on the scene looking for survivors.

3. Named after Arthur Marvin Anderson, a director of U.S. Steel and vice chairman of J.P. Morgan & Co.

4. Launched in 1952 and still in active service.

๐Ÿ“Œ **The Saginaw**

1. Originally launched as John J. Boland in 1953, the third vessel to bear that name.

2. Owned and operated by the American Steamship Company and built by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company.

3. Sold to Lower Lakes Towing and renamed Saginaw in 1999.
