Sometimes up to 20 Lorikeets can be seen feeding at once on this live cam. The camera is set up on the balcony of a high rise apartment building. This camera does not have night vision. If the video is black that’s because it is night time.

The Lorikeet species includes 53 variations of medium-sized vocal and exceptionally colorful parrots located in Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and Polynesia.
The Rainbow Lorikeet are the most popular because they are most commonly sold as a pet.
Lorikeets have brush-tipped tongues which they use to sweep food into their mouth.
Lorikeet feed on pollen, nectar, fruit, nuts, small insects and of course bird seed.
Lorikeet usually nest in a hollowed out tree trunk. They have 3 or more clutches each nesting season. Incubation lasts about 22-26 days depending on climate.
Rainbow Lorikeets will reach about 1 foot(30CM) in length at maturity and live an average of 7-9 years in the wild, but can live up to 30 years in captivity.
