MN Deer Cam terrain and landscape:
As you can see from the live camera view, this area of Minnesota is full of dense, mixed coniferous and deciduous forest. This area is known as the iron range. It has a landscape of several huge man made rocky hills, both natural and deep mine lakes and drastic canyon like valleys created from iron ore mining.
Whitetail Deer are among the regular visitors. Other animals native to this area are Black Bear, Timberwolves, Moose, Raccoons, Lynx, Bobcats, Martin, Coyotes, Fox, Skunk, Possum, Rabbits, Red Squirrel, Ruffed Grouse & Spruce Grouse and more.
There is a gravel road behind the wooded area of the cam. You might see a vehicle go by every once in a while especially during winter when there aren’t any leaves on a lot of the trees.
Food is put out early in the afternoon usually consisting of corn and sweet feed. At times, pumpkins, salt licks, mineral blocks and compressed treat blocks will be set out too. You can rewind the camera up to 12 hours by clicking and dragging on the red progress bar within the video.
The camera is a fixed view, is on 24/7 and does provide viewing at night.
