The Michipicoten hit an unknown submerged object near Isle Royale a few weeks ago causing the crew of 20 to be evacuated. The freighter was then forced to make an emergency stop at Thunder Bay port while repairs were made. It’s now back at Duluth where it will undergo further inspection at the Fraser Shipyard in Superior.
