The 2nd egg was laid April 5th. Hatch watch starts on April 19th 2025. When the eggs hatch, the young chicks are helpless and blind with dark skin and some white down. The chicks will remain in the nest for about 22 days before fledging. During that time and for several weeks after they fledge, the female feeds the chicks by regurgitating food into their mouths.
