Harriet(the female eagle) has been away from the nest since last Thursday. Harriet has been around the site for about 16 years and it’s very rare for her be gone from the nest area for more than 12 hours. This has lead everyone to wondering what happened and what will happen to M-15(male) and their baby bald eagles.
M-15 has been very diligent in protecting the eaglets and providing as best he can by himself to this point. It will be a very interesting learning experience for all of us. Please keep in mind that this is nature and the situation is being closely monitored.
