Is this the second egg you are talking about Deb? So both eggs are now gone?

if you watch the video HNF put on the top of this page under the live steam (also where she puts videos on the home page) you can see at 15:33 where the raven breaks open that egg and eats al little of it, then it goes to the other egg breaks it and pulls it out of the nest to feed on it Raven Eats Big Bear Eagle Eggs While Jackie and Shadow Are Away

It is a shame the raven had to break both eggs and not eat much of either! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the FL nest be left unattended. Thanks for the info.

I heard about this on KNF chat .. couldn’t believe it came back to watch and it looks like the Raven did puncture the egg she’s laying on because once it hit it a few times it was licking its beak like and then did it again, and I saw like a string of saliva if you call it that it was licking.. I pray that she has another egg 🥚 on the way 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is so sad. They have been through this before 2-3 years ago. Jackie should be smarter than that.

Gwen, it was 2021 the first cache of eggs, both eaten by the ravens. Then she laid a second cache, and those eggs didn’t make it. I’m sorry after that I don’t have any records as my husband was ill and I didn’t keep any records.

Raven only got one of the eggs. At least we’ll have one baby if she doesn’t go gallivanting again. Gone way too long!
