The females egg laying duties usually start in mid to late January with hatching beginning about 35 days later and then Fledging in June. After fledging they will remain Juveniles for about 2 years before becoming adult eagles and will not have fully matured feathers till about 5 years after fledging.
This eagle camera has pan and zoom functionality which gives you an excellent view of the nest. In 2012 Hurricane Sandy’s 90mph winds destroyed the upper half of the nest tree and the nest itself. Once the Eagles returned thankfully they found a new nest tree and decided to build a new nest about 100ft away from the old one in a Sycamore tree.
2025 Important Dates at the Duke Farms Eagle Nest
In 2025, the Duke Farms bald eagle pair laid three eggs on January 17, January 20, and January 23. All three eggs successfully hatched in late February, with eaglets emerging on February 25, February 27, and February 28. The eaglets were later officially named H57, H58, and H59, continuing the Duke Farms naming tradition.

Looked in at 0610Am and Blizzy had a big fish, ate half and then up on a branch to perch. Glad he had breakfish
Blizzy self fed an eel at 12:40. Then at 2:38, a big fish was brought. Blizzy ate the fish while mom waited for about 8 minutes.
Then the mom took the fish and ate some and fed Blizzy some. I think that mom likes to feed her eaglet. There was another delivery after this at 6:46 and that parent left. It looked like it was a fish and Blizzy was eating it.
Just after 3 pm, the mom flew in with a fish. The mom gave Blizzy a few bites of whatever she was eating.
Then Blizzy went to work on that fish. He was doing such a good job on his own, that the mom left. He ate a good portion of it.
At 6:13 pm, a parent flew in with an eel. Blizzy flew in to claim it. He worked on the eel for about 7 minutes.
Then both parents flew in. One brought some grasses, the other brought a large stick.
The dad fussed with the nest sticks a bit, then left. Meanwhile, the mom started feeding Blizzy the eel.
When Blizzy got stuffed, he flew up to the branch (like usual) and watched the mom finish up the end of the fish that he had left in the nest.
Wish they would refocus the cam so we can see the bottom portion of the nest, there were 2 feedings i saw but not what they were munching on. Blizzy sated at the nest a few hours today
I have to agree with you. There’s nothing going on way up high on the branch. I’d rather see what’s happening in the nest.
I thought because of the showers all day, that Blizzy would not have anything much to eat, but was glad to see that Blizzy ate very well. Here Blizzy was eating the head of the first fish at 11:10.
Then the parent brought another bigger fish around 11:53 and Blizzy ate the head of that fish too (it’s very strange that he leaves the rest of the fish).
Then the parent brought an eel around 3:19. The parent was looking around for Blizzy, and looking at those 2 headless fish, lol (probably wondering why both fish are still there).
Blizzy came flying in and the mom fed Blizzy the smaller fish. Blizzy moved over to the eel and was trying to self-feed the eel while the mom finished eating the end of the fish. Then she took the eel from Blizzy and helped him to eat the eel.
Blizzy was stuffed and flew onto the branch and watched the mom finish the rest of the eel. The larger fish is still laying in the nest tonight. No one came back for it, so I guess that will be Blizzy’s breakfish tomorrow.
It was gone this morning when i looked in.
