it their own. In 2021 a new camera was installed in place of the old eagle nest camera.

This high quality live webcam has pan, tilt and can zoom up to 32x giving viewers an even better view from a rare perspective into the daily life of a nest of bald eagles.

The females egg laying duties usually start in mid to end of February with eaglets hatching. Begining about 35 days later. Then branching in June and the fledging stage sometime in July. After fledging they will remain a juvenile for about 2 years before becoming adult eagles and will not have fully matured feathers till about 5 years after fledging. Interesting facts:

  • The first ever recorded Bald Eagle nests in St. Joseph county are the nd-leef eagles and a nest at Potato Creek State Park.
