I’m here! I’ve been watching. Just been really busy. Our little one is growing like crazy!

Hi Debbie! I’ve been peeking in. Been super busy. We moved my 85 yr old mother-in-law in to our house so it’s been a little crazy.
Oh dear Vicki sure can understand why you were busy. That is a very big job. I can relate. Hope it is going well.
Luckily we get along really well. It’s just a big change from being empty nesters to having a third person to tend to. She can pretty much do for herself as far as getting up, dressing herself and going to the restroom, but we have to do the rest for her. Had to change our office back in to a bedroom. But this is safer for her. We can’t have her falling again.
I’m sorry she fell but assume she didn’t do any real damage? I’m glad you get along, but I know it is still quite the change and something to get used to. I bet it took a lot of effort to get her moved. Downsizing her things is a biggy and can be emotionally draining. For anyone! I’m just trying to get rid of clutter and things and it is hard.
Luckily she didn’t break anything. She still has her house and our daughter stays with her there while we are at work. Then she stays with us overnight and on weekends. Eventually she will have to make a decision on her house but for now she likes this arrangement.
It is wonderful to see a whole family like this come together for each other. So MIL really can’t be left alone. When my Dad died it became apparent Mom couldn’t manage living at the home place. She was freaking out at things like maybe a tree would fall on the house. So I moved her into an independent living senior place very close to my sister, walking distance for my sister. Sold the home place and used the money to help with rent. Then on to a higher level independent still living, but with services. Next 2 assisted living… Read more »
