Meet M15 & F23
- M15: Veteran provider & nest engineer; known for multiple fish deliveries/day in pre-lay.
- F23: First egg of 2024 laid Nov 8; 2025 Nov 12th; in pre-lay periods she often eats on the nest and increases time in the nest tree.
How to Watch (Cam Tips)
- Playback: Use the DVR bar to rewind ~12 hours.
- Audio: Wind can mask vocalizations; try the 4K cam for clearer sound.
- Behavior cues: Mantling over food, aerating, rolling eggs, “chortle” vocalizations.
- Tip: For the best audio of chortles and wingbeats, use the 4K cam.
- Local time: The nest operates on Eastern Time (ET).
Nest History & Notable Moments
- Stick engineering: Watch M15 test & wedge branches to raise rails.
- Food log: Tilapia, catfish heads, mullet—varies by season and water levels.
- Visitor notes: Loggerhead shrike, anhinga, and the occasional raven fly-by.
FAQs
Q: When do SWFL eagles usually lay eggs?
A: Typically early–mid November, with hatch roughly 35 days later.
Q: Why is F23 eating on the nest?
A: In pre-lay, females often conserve energy and stay close to the bowl, so on-nest feeding increases.
Q: How can I tell who’s on the nest?
A: F23 is larger with a rounder head; M15 shows a slightly slimmer frame and often arrives with sticks or fish.
Q: Do you intervene?
A: No. These cams document wild eagles for education and research; intervention is not part of this project.
Q: Best times to watch?
A: Sunrise and late afternoon for deliveries and nest work; overnight for incubation shifts.

@HNF what happened to the cameras? They are working on the Pritchett site.
Oh good, they werent early this morning.
Not that we will be seeing very much of E26 now that she has discovered freedom!
Cam ops will have to work so hard now! We appreciate it!!! 🤗
I’ll miss the darling. I hope she comes into our site quite a bit. She is my first discovery of eagle followings. Little One and Mommy and Daddy are the first family of eagles I ever followed. A special place in my ❤️.
That is so sweet Lisa. I know how you feel. My first was here with E7 and 8. I remember it well and all the emotions I felt. The bonking was so bad I almost threw my iPad once! 8 got entangled in fishing line and had to be removed from the nest and taken to CROW. He was put back in the nest after a short stay at CROW.
Thank you Debbie for sharing your love story for E7 & E8. You are right about the emotional 🥹 ups and downs. The human nature to want to hold and protect them. Yes, this family is very special to me. Thank you . Little E will always be a sweet baby to me.
Thank you CROW REHAB FOR WILDLIFE !!! Caring, special human beings!!!
They are good. A couple of them went to the site last year and did an on camera talk about the loss of E24 and E25 to avian flu.
Thank you Debbie for letting me be informed on CROW!!!
nite – nite to our Little One and Dad . Stay warm and safe, have a very nice rest. ❤️
You’re welcome Lisa. You are a very nice person, and I’m so happy to have you here, sharing the eagles. I do most of my talking at the hummingbird site in CA, you would learn a lot about me there.
Thank you!!! I’ll try to find the hummingbird site!!! So nice to share with fellow eagle lovers.
Big difference in the eagle and the hummingbird! 😂. The hummer has 2 babies right now.
I had hummingbird feeder’s for the little birds years ago. I so enjoyed the little ones.
What is the site???
Hummingbird nest. It does not say spot.
I love this nest

Good morning darling Little E. CONGRATULATIONS. Your first flight. You and your dad can have so much fun together. Your mom is always with you!!!
CONGRATULATIONS Little E!!! You looked so beautiful flying high. I hope that dad saw you take your first flight and I know mom was guiding you along… on Eagles Wings. You stay safe. Your human family loves you and wishes you well in your new adventures. Love you Little E.
Beautifully said.
Thank you for saying what is in our hearts. Said beautifully.
No cams this morning, bummer.
🥰🦅👏
Pritchett team:
Congratulations E26! E26 fledged at 6:32pm from the treetop then landed in the upper W treetop. E26 then took a second short flight and landed on the cam housing. Tonight M15 roosts on the low W branch. E26 in upper W treetop. Sleep safely M and E. an hour ago
Yippee!!! Yay!!! Thank you so much, Carolyn! ❤️ I knew it was going to happen any minute now. She is so confident and capable!! I bet she squ-e-e-s the whole time she is in flight!!
You called it! Just amazing!
Thanks Carolyn for posting that. How exciting! She is a big eagle now! A bit of an awkward landing then off again!
Now the fun begins for her! 😍
That’s wonderful! Thank you.
💕
WOW
This is awesome!!! So proud of her. And she stuck her landings very well for a first timer. I’ve seen some eaglets land upside down.
Little E you are getting so brave going higher in you nest tree. Before the end of the week I’m sure you will be flying to nearby trees or the pond below you. Just be careful and stay away from the road.
That is such a sweet message for our sweetest little E baby. Yes, yes, stay away from the road and be very careful. Little E you have many, many hearts 🥰 that love you. Many hearts love your dad too!
You speak the truth.
Oh please stay away from the road!

omg
I have never seen an eaglet do that before! She did it just like she’d been doing it all her life! I don’t think I’ve even seen an adult eagle swallow one that big. Well, maybe once or twice. 😂
It sure surprised me!!!!!!!!!!! How can they do that?
