Good afternoon…my petsitting job is over so getting caught up with things here…dishes, laundry, sewing on a button, putting birdseed out, and whatever else. The sun is out so that’s nice but it’s going to be way below zero Thursday? night through Saturday morning.

Good morning friends ♥ Bitter cold last night with at low of 3°. Afternoon warmup this afternoon with a high temperature of 38°. Bright sun coming through my kitchen windows makes it seem warmer.
After this post I will place a Walmart order to be delivered tomorrow morning.
I had good luck roasting baby carrots. (No peeling or cutting up the bag of whole carrots like last time.)
DH will go to Beltone this morning to see if they repaired his hearing aid or issued a new one.
Enjoy the rest of your day. ttfn ♥

I like the baby carrots for that reason! Hoping DH’s new or fixed hearing aid works longer this time.

First thing this morning we went to the nearby urgent care. We had set up an appointment online last night for 8:30 and DH got right in. They did and EKG and took his BP and pulse multiple times. There advice was – go see your cardiologist. So we went home and he called his cardiologist, and their office said we can see you in March. He has a hard time focusing when he is dizzy and doesn’t want to drive. Wait until March? He pushed back and they had a nurse call him later. I had a 3 hour… Read more »

Yesterday was kind of hectic a lot going on.DS called and said he will be here at 1pm. We visited a little bit as we hadn’t seen him since Christmas, although we texted a couple times…he then took the faucet off our kitchen sink. The one on there h put on in 2003, was going to put in a new style… he got it all apart , then went on the patio to put to new lights up , which are LED, got those changed and then went to Home Depot to get doomed new fittings for the sink, poor… Read more »

Gwen. so the wound pain is caused by nerves; guess it’s a good thing that the nerves are still alive enough to be painful. On the other hand, for Heaven’s sake! 🙏
YIKES, that earthquake was pretty near 😟
Nice you got all those bits of work done; DS is a good man. 💝

I spoke with some friends in Palm Springs tonight and they felt the earthquake before they got the alert. Sorry you are still having pain. DS was sure busy today!

Kind of funny , some got the alert seconds before it hit , others got it right after… wonder if it is phone services.. was weird on how it happened..DS alert didn’t go off.. but he saw it on his IPhone…

Friends said it depended on the distance away from epicenter – they were real close. It takes time (though not long) for the tremor to travel from epicenter to the places further away.

Sunny and Spring-like 64 degrees today after a freezing 12-degree overnight. Haven’t called HVAC company back; it seems to be working okay.
Chuck went to Walmart to re-stock some things; he forgot the list & what was on it; forgot the bags (Colo has a bring your own or pay for each) 😄 poor guy. He’ll have to go back again tomo; hopefully a bit better prepared. 😏
From the library, downloaded Jacinda Ardern’s book, A Different Kind of Power.

Good afternoon friends ♥ The Arctic blast has arrived. Sunny with a high temperature of 23° today. Tonight the temperature will go down to 7°. We braved the cold to go to DH oncology appointment at 10am. His leukemia numbers are much improved. 🙏 PTL the two pills he takes each day are working. The pills cost over $16,000 a month.😮 Penn medicine working with our insurance company and Penn pharmacy ….we have 0 co-pay. The pills are delivered each month by FedEx. DH has a great team of doctors and nurses at the University of Pennsylvania complex. The complex… Read more »
