Why is the work on this pier taking so long, the material should not be hard to get, do they have enough funds? This pier has been out of Commission for months.
Pier RenovationThe International Fishing Pier suffered damage from Tropical Storm Nicole on November 9, 2022. A thorough structural assessment revealed additional damage, prompting the City to close a section known as the “T”. After presenting various design options to the community, a preferred plan was chosen. Subsequently, the City initiated a procurement process for construction services, and a construction company was selected through competitive bidding. I had seen that on the cam here, how those huge waves partly shattered the T – section back then. Was bad.
