Here is one of the more unusual things you will ever see. A Canada Goose laid an egg on the man made raft intended for Loons to nest. Then a Mink came in inspected the nest and played around with the goose egg. It seemed like the Mink was really trying to crack that egg open. After a couple minutes it finally gave up, slipped back into the water and disappeared. I’m told that the goose egg eventually ended up getting rolled into the water. I’m not sure if the Loons did it or maybe another animal, but its gone for good. We should hopefully see a Loon egg here very soon! 😊
