Deborah: the eggs didn’t hatch; they went in to gather them up for testing before the seagulls got to them… the Fish Fairy hat left on the post holds deep emotional meaning for them. it Is a gesture similar to a wreath…very respectful to the eggs and Mom and Dad. before leaving he left two fish for the mom and dad
