The Decorah Eagles Live Cam is one of the most watched bald eagle streams in the world, offering a real-time look at eagle activity near the Decorah trout hatchery in Iowa. Viewers can follow Hatchery Dad (HD) and his new mate as they patrol the territory, build their nest, and prepare for future nesting seasons at this long-established eagle site.

About The Decorah Eagles

The adult eagles on the Decorah nest are known as HD (Hatchery Dad) and HM2 (Hatchery Mom II). Named for the nearby Decorah trout hatchery, HD is an experienced male who has raised multiple eaglets over the years, while HM2 is a newer nesting female.

Pretty well. Went for groceries today. I also fertilized some of the perennials. Middle son is recovering from the collapsed lung. Taking it pretty easy. Has to! Custody hearing is next week for my youngest son. He still only gets supervised visits twice a week. I so hope he will get partial custody.

FSV56 rested close to the side branch, and the nest had that quiet nighttime stillness that makes everything seem safe. But wild nests are never fully asleep. On May 13, 2026, a creepy night visitor appeared near the Fort St. Vrain eagle nest.
