The Decorah Eagles Live Cam is one of the most watched bald eagle streams in the world, offering a real-time look at eagle activity near the Decorah trout hatchery in Iowa. Viewers can follow Hatchery Dad (HD) and his new mate as they patrol the territory, build their nest, and prepare for future nesting seasons at this long-established eagle site.

About The Decorah Eagles

Was Lucy named after Lucille Ball?

We will never know her backstory. I do know she was born in a shed in KY. I adopted her from Forever Fortunate Felines in a town near Chicago. She and her brother were both adopted. Lucy was 5 when i got her. She is the perfect cat for me. I kept trying to find out why it took so long for her to get her forever home. All I can figure out is that she is very shy. She runs under the bed when anyone comes over. She is scared of thunder. She might find a bigger family overwhelming.

So you didn’t name her Lucy? How long have you had her? My first cat grew up at an old house on this property that was empty. It was her mom and my later to be cat. They sheltered in the crawl space under the house and we fed them. After a few months with trapped them and had them spayed. Mom was too feral to become a house cat, but she reached a point you could some times pet her. Her offspring we named Ginger and she became our house cat. At first she hid mostly under a bed,… Read more »

DS has a feral black cat that visits for food and lets him pet him. Trapped him once , took for check up and he clawed his way out of upstairs window and escaped. stayed away awhile but not comes around.

Too bad another cat couldn’t pull the black cat to the side, and say looka here fella, you cozy up to that fella and you will live a life of luxury and pampering. You will feast at every meal, sleep on a bed, never be wet, cold or in pain. Treated like royalty!

Good morning
The E’s are eating.
Cleaned the house yesterday and did some laundry.
We have SO many tomatoes it is going to be hard to be able to eat them without them spoiling.
So Rick made tomato pie last night. This recipe turned out great.
Today I am having a Chinese lunch with a friend.

We really haven’t had much luck growing tomatoes here. Of course Howard uses too much miracle grow instead of going to a local farm and getting some manure. But what do I know???
You could always freeze some to make sauce out of.🙂

Not sure if i shared this b4. I always struggle with peeling hard boiled eggs, tried several tips. recently heard that adding cooking oil to the boiling water could help.after boiled add to iced water. peels easily.

I found this trick helps. Add salt and a splash of vinegar to the water and bring to a good boil BEFORE putting in the eggs. I lower them in with a spoon. After boiling quickly drain, add a generous amount of ice definitely cover the eggs, and then water up to the ice level. Let stand about 3 minutes. Roll the egg, start peeling the big end, trying to get under the membrane at the big end.
