It is the nest nature show I’ve ever seen and Tom Hanks brought it to life.

Wow, what a lousy afternoon here in the nest! Poor Es. I know Joyce would love some of that rain, as would I. Oh well. Another heat wave due here by Thursday….I can take a short one if it is followed by a few nice, non humid days.

Hi Joyce! I did some cleaning and tossing out of things. I keep mail, etc. by my computer but went through the pile and got rid of a lot. I also put a basket there to when it gets full I know it is time to get rid of stuff. While cleaning I found several cat toys that had been batted under the china closet. Sigh….would like a cat but don’t miss doing the cat box….

Hi Ellie. We found several of Sammi’s toys months after she was gone. I would think about a cat but I just don’t think I could deal with the litter box.

cleaning a litter box sure beats having to go outside in all kinds of weather to take the dog to go potty. 😀

Hi Pam! You have a point, but our yard is fenced and a dog would be ok out there to do its’ business. But then you still have to “scoop the poop” to keep the yard clean!!

Hi Ellie! Lucky you to have a fenced yard. Wish Howard would fence in part of our yard BUT then he would have to weed whip around it and he doesn’t want to do that. Men.

Best thing we did was to put up the fence when we had Chester. He was usually good about staying in the yard but the day I got a call from a neighbor
that Chester was down there we made arrangements for the fence.

Me too. I had lunch with some neighbors from my old neighborhood, and when I got home I had to water pots and some of the beds. Things were drooping. The next couple days will be really hot.
