The Decorah Eagles Live Cam is one of the most watched bald eagle streams in the world, offering a real-time look at eagle activity near the Decorah trout hatchery in Iowa. Viewers can follow Hatchery Dad (HD) and his new mate as they patrol the territory, build their nest, and prepare for future nesting seasons at this long-established eagle site.

About The Decorah Eagles

The adult eagles on the Decorah nest are known as HD (Hatchery Dad) and HM2 (Hatchery Mom II). Named for the nearby Decorah trout hatchery, HD is an experienced male who has raised multiple eaglets over the years, while HM2 is a newer nesting female.

Good evening everyone.. Wow look at how much they have grown! Leaving for Decorah Friday for the weekend, looks like perfect timing maybe we will see some action in the skies around the hatchery! So excited, I even just ordered a new camera tonight!! Just got home from the ball diamond watching Kenzie play ball, 3 games today and back at it tomorrow! Softball on the weekends and basketball every Tuesday and Thursday night. She sure keeps us busy!!

Hi Donna. I am really going to miss not going this year. Hope you get some good pics. I wonder if you will be able to see the nest from the bridge or if there will be too many leaves. Have fun!!

I’m a meanie, stopped feeding birds except hummers. After squirrels broke my feeders and broke the screen, I had enough. I dont even remember laying down for a nap, but took one on couch. Earlier.did some cleaning and made chicken salad for lunch. Guess.i was really tired

You aren’t a meanie. The birds have plenty of natural food around this time of year.

Coffee time. I am surprised they are both still here. I peeked in earlier and one was flapping all over the nest and from one branch to another. Thought for sure he/she was going to take off.
