I want to hug each and everyone of my friends here that are hurting with a heavy heart. I share your sadness, it is so hard to take. I guess the hardest is the just not knowing. Where is she? Is she wounded, or is she forever gone? Oh dear as I type that I can’t help but think of the Guthrie family. Thanks Carolyn. 2022-2023 were rough years for me, I sorta thought Harriet might have left us somewhere in there. I just tried a google search and discovered it was Feb 2. The babies were just about a month old, so M15 had about 2 months to single parent E21 and 22. That was a long stretch.
Yes it was tough to watch…. He really had his hands full!
He was a champ!
He really is special! He has endured a lot.
He is a dedicated daddy!
Especially with all of those intruders chasing him and trying to steal his fish.

It would be so hard on M if he thought like we do, to know or think he lost 2 mates in 3 years. But I can’t help but believe he misses her. There are so many examples in the animal world. There were two bonded cockatoos that were mating and raising babies. Somehow they were separated, at least one given a new mate. That union produced no results. 5 years passed, and the original pair were reunited and it was obvious they were happy to see each other. They began immediately with mating.

This is very heartbreaking Donna I pray nothing has happened to her and if it has I hope they find her and they take her to rehab and she’ll be fine again even if she never makes it back to our nest and has to start over somewhere else Many prayers going out🌸🙏🙏🙏

Oh yes, Lisa, I would so love to see her back here. It was hard when Harriet disappeared but, F23 has made a wonderful mom so I just hope and pray that she is safe somewhere. I have to wonder if the eaglet knows his mom is gone and wonders where she is?? Just so sad
