- M15: Veteran provider & nest engineer; known for multiple fish deliveries/day in pre-lay.
- F23: First egg of 2024 laid Nov 8; 2025 Nov 12th; in pre-lay periods she often eats on the nest and increases time in the nest tree.
How to Watch (Cam Tips)
- Playback: Use the DVR bar to rewind ~12 hours.
- Audio: Wind can mask vocalizations; try the 4K cam for clearer sound.
- Behavior cues: Mantling over food, aerating, rolling eggs, “chortle” vocalizations.
- Tip: For the best audio of chortles and wingbeats, use the 4K cam.
- Local time: The nest operates on Eastern Time (ET).

I guess I’m feeling blue about what is happening with Jackie at Big Valley. Then I got to thinking about F-23, and for some reason I wanted to come here, read again, feel all the love, caring, support from this eagle family, who shared together all the emotions of loosing our precious F-23. Do you realize it really hasn’t been a very long time since we lost Harriett? F was with us only 2 1/2 seasons, so we lost two Moms in a short time. So I read. I did feel the love that I needed. What happened to F23?
They think a car hit her.
I’ve been torn up as well. I know we all have. Harriet, F-23… never forgotten. Now Jackie. I didn’t spend that much time at Big Valley but enough to get probably more emotionally involved than a lot of people think is wise. It’s who I am and I know this space is safe. There were videos shared showing how we missed signs of her weakening and likely ill. I choose to see her strong and healthy just as I do the other queens of the sky and nests…. Harriet, F-23 and Jackie…. fly high… 💖 See you soon M!

Can someone tell me how long cameras will not have videos???
The cams at Pritchett usually come back up around October when the eagles begin nest building again. They do maintenance on the equipment over the summer.

That would be great. September will be here in no time. This summer has really flown by. It seems that every year goes by faster and faster.
Hopefully we can catch some photos taken by the ground photographers during the Summer/Fall. Androcat usually posts off and on during the off-season. Talons crossed. 🦅🤗
