Good afternoon…it’s nice out, 50s so I walked the dogs and then went for a walk by myself. I also took pictures of pictures to send to the daughter of my friend/coworker who passed. DH worked out of town but home now and working on his laptop. Not sure if we are staying home or maybe going to his dad’s. Have a good evening, friends. 😍

We have another hot day of 85, breezy day… am so tired of the heat…I changed the sheets on the bed and washed them this morning, took my drapes down in our bedroom and put them in the dryer to refresh them I do this twice a year.. I need to do the spare bedroom since I bought a new bedding, which is still in the box… just haven’t felt up to it as it will be almost an all day thing… Hopefully it will cool down sometime soon…DH wasn’t feeling so good today so he didn’t want to go… Read more »

Hi Gwen…I started doing some spring cleaning but not as much as I used to do…started last week but haven’t done any this week, just not motivated…guess I’ll do a little at a time…we have really light curtains in some windows and lace also..used to take them down every year or two but it’s been longer..then I’d put them in the dryer on air dry to get the dust off..I’m considering doing that this year but they don’t look that bad and like I said, not really motivated these days..

I think it is a little early yet for spring cleaning and with the heat I am not motivated either…The dryer does wonders….lol

Another warm/sunny day for us. Laundry done, kitchen/bathrooms cleaned. Chuck’s out shopping and Rick slept in, i had a lovely morning. 😘
Got the download from the Windows10 laptop done; it worked a treat and now i can start 2025s taxes on the Windows 11 laptop — yep, a lovely morning indeed. Thursday, i have to go into LaJunta and get my car transferred from bank ownership to me, now that’s exciting!! 🤸‍♀️ 🤸‍♀️
Everyone have a good day — Love and Hugs

It was fun reading about our love for books 🥰 Dad loved Dickens and read those books aloud to us; I remember sitting on the floor at his feet, listening 😘 I was a member of the 10-book borrowing & under-cover flashlight clubs too! 🙄 When I was 16, i volunteered at a library during the summer; completion of chores were pretty slap-dash — Poor Mom 😄 I introduced her to a series i don’t remember the name of; she was hooked & as she finished 1 of the books, she’d actually send me to the library for the next… Read more »

I loved the classics and still have some, should read them sometime…I read a variety now, from biographies to animal books to light fiction for summer…my mom always only read magazines, she only likes short reading, very short attention span. that’s a lot of books at a garage sale.

I’d been collecting books for a long time 😘 I had the whole Harry Potter series in hard-bound; sold the entire box for $5; the lady was thrilled. I still have 1 bookcase full of some of my faves; Mrs Pollifax/Amelia Peabody. Now if i buy them, it’s on Kindle.

You were like me Pam, I was always reading , I shared my bed with my sister. I would be under the covers with the light reading even on school nights, my mother rarely caught me, lol She always would read the Bible.. and the newspaper. and the farmers Almanac. Now I still read a lot, My sister and DD. are all the same, I read a lot Amish historical books, and inspirational books, , and pass them around.. I was raised around the Amish, had them in school and some neighbors. Since we lived in the country..a life I… Read more »

Same here. I read all the time! We had a bookcase of classic fiction, you know all bound the same – a set of maybe 50 books. When I ran out of my books I would read them – like Gulliver’s Travels, and Swiss Family Robinson, etc. When my parents retired (40 years ago) and moved they got rid of the books before I knew it. When I mentioned that I would have wanted them, everybody said they thought no one ever read them! Then when I had DD I made a habit very early on of going to the… Read more »

Good morning. 💛Plenty of sunshine today with a high of 48°. Cooler than average.
I noticed another egg shell in the nest above. A baby squab. 🐣Gwen saw it last night.
(baby pigeons are called squabs)….according to Google. Did you know people eat pigeons?
Enjoy your day. ttfn ♥

Yeah, but not the ones we see in the wild, not anymore anyway. Maybe we should ship pigeons to some places where food is scarce. But generally rabbits are the best source of meat for food scarce countries – because rabbits reproduce like, well, rabbits!

Good morning…..it’s going to be a little warmer this afternoon, in the 50s. I need to get out for a little while, maybe walk the dogs. I’ll do this and that…maybe clean a bit or switch some more clothes. Going to drink my coffee now ..hope you all have a nice day 😊
