This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.

Chris, or anyone else, remember the episode Arsenal of Freedom in 1988/Season 1 of Star Trek-TNG? It’s the one where the weapons/drones become sentient and adapt their weaponry and ability to track/destroy invaders. Last night’s NCIS/Sydney had a version of the same thing. 😮 Artificial Intelligence; I always knew Gene Roddenberry was a genius many years before his time; he was a savant futurist. 🚀
I don’t remember that episode, so will have to look it up. DH had fallen asleep on the recliner by then so he didn’t say anything. I bet he remembers.
DH was actually very critical of the NCIS episode, which we watched tonight. Being a tech guy he pointed out every flaw in the story. But that is his usual style. For example, to get information out of the drone you wouldn’t have to put it all together, and you certainly wouldn’t put the rotors back on it so it could fly.

Cool/cloudy today; expecting rain later & on into tomo — sure hope so, there’s a pesky wildfire that will not go out after 7 days of burning. Thankfully there’s been minimal wind and it’s finally 45% contained; rain will take care of the other 55%. 🌧

Hello…did litter boxes and had some leftovers for lunch. I’m going to switch some more of DH’s clothes but we’re having cooler weather right now..so I’ll leave some things in his closet and dresser. I’ll try to call my aunt later..she didn’t text back to say if today works, I make appts with her to call. Have a nice day 😍

Good morning friends 💜 Overcast with a high temperature of 64°. Rain expected this evening. ☂ Walmart order will arrive just before lunchtime. I will make us turkey/Swiss sandwiches and wrap them up to enjoy after groceries are put away. I am not in the mood to make lunch after that chore is completed. Water pills keeping my water weight at bay. PTL I still have not found a new hairdresser since mine went out of business. So…..DH took his electric trimming shears and cut my hair. Hi Tea..that’s good that your DH can do it, and saves a lot of $, like you said. I saw an ad here, someone looking for customers..she wants to cut hair in their homes…I think that’s a really good idea.
I loved it it when my hairdresser comes to out house, I pay her the same as if I go to the salon.. and still tip her’…she has been doing my hair for 30+ yrs

Good morning at 3:30 am, woke up wide awake..after couple nights sleeping all night…Kaiser keeps calling me to make a bone density test ,,, if I could it to be close to the times I am over by the hospital to see one of my Dr. then I would schedule … no such luck.. Sorry your DH is still having back pain. I wore a brace for 3 months with a facture in my lower back. Back pain is very painful. Prayers for your DH and Chris too with their back pain. 🙏 🙏

So last night the muscle relaxant didn’t put me to sleep. Don’t know why it gave me a good afternoon nap but not at night. Maybe the soreness has ramped up too much by night. Anyway, I finally found a position balancing between back and side where it didn’t hurt as much and with heating pad I was able to sleep about 6 hours. Still hate waking up hurting, but it gets better as I walk around. Then I felt pretty good most of the day and get more achy as the day winds down. We’ll see how tonight goes.… Read more »
I am glad you had a little improvement yesterday with back pain.
PT told me on first visit….BLT….No bending, lifting or twisting. I keep things I use often on lower shelves on the counter or stove top now, as bending irritates my back. Heating pad helped me more than the pain pills.

I know a lot of people only use heat..my chiro said ice first and if in doubt, ice also…I only use ice now but if you think a heating pad helps, then that’s good.
It’s funny, but bending and lifting doesn’t hurt, though I am trying to be good about it. Lifting with my arms, not my back, etc. .
