Pest control folks came by to check prior work this morning. Then I worked on filing the tax return I got the signature for yesterday. Also finished up another return and got it posted to the portal. Took my car to the dealer for the free 10,000 mile maintenance (because it came with 5 years of free maintenance). Everything was fine – changed oil and air filters, rotated tires, and some other things. Washed my car too! Answered some questions for a few clients but email. Temps today 50 to 64. Intermittent rain again. Good Night all! Love & Prayers… Read more »

Fun fact – no inspections required in WA. Many western states have no inspections, though some have required emission tests. Shocked me when we moved west. The maintenance is all on the owner – do it or not. I interpret this as a result of the western pioneer spirit – resistance to rules and more free spirited than the east coast. In AZ for many years, even auto insurance was not required. In Massachusetts, when our auto insurance expired by mistake we immediately got a notice from the DMV telling us that it was no longer legal to drive the… Read more »

Popping in for a few minutes, this has been a busy day.. I went to start the car to go to Wound Care and it would not start, had a weird sound, I went to the neighbor across the street that worked on our car recently, he was still in bed, but his step dad was home and he said he would take a look. As soon as he tried to start it, he sad the battery was dead He went back home and had a jumper put it on and it started right up. But he said let me… Read more »

Oh wow! Car troubles, head pain, and dogs to watch. I’m sure the car issues didn’t help the head, but I am glad you got it solved. Hope you saw my video on Facebook of a period of detente at our house.

Thanks for checking in with us Lynn ♥ Know you are busy petsitting and now the holiday approaching and your DS visiting.
When we traveled we would stop at Hardiee;s for their cinnamon-raisin biscuits. I think they are bringing them back. So good!!
Have a fun time with sis. 💕.

Good morning. 🌺 More clouds than sun today. Our high temperature will be about 87°. Forecast calling for triple digit temperatures end of next week. Hot, hot, hot. Will be planning some cool meals.
Chore for the day will be laundry. Mower service will mow the yard today.
Yesterday I made more potatoes and onions to have for a few lunches. No salt and tasty.
We enjoyed fresh peaches with our dinner last night. Delicious!!! (peeled and sliced all 4)
Hope you are having a nice Friday. ttfn ♥

I can’t even imagine temps in the triple digits; we are supposed to be in the 80’s next week and that’s more than I care to deal with, ugh! I’m looking forward to having fresh peaches soon but I hate to buy them and then have them turn out hard

The peaches were very hard when I got them. Left them out on counter and In a few days peaches were soft and ripe. Delicious!!!
Yes, triple digit temperature hit us most summers for a day or two.

Got the dogs about noon and got them settled in. The younger one seems to have hurt her paw or leg (before they came here). I bet since she runs around like a crazy dog, she overdid jumping down or something. Just bruised we think. She is definitely moving slower today. Worked on some tax planning and tax questions for clients. Went to my friend/client’s house. I had finished her tax return (had been waiting months for one last piece of info) and we did her budget. Found a tax form I had been looking for that I thought she… Read more »

Heavy-duty thunderstorms last night and expecting more tonight; at least it’s not that hot, only about 86. Got our primary ballots filled out and ready to go. Found out our little City Hall has a drop box, which is about a mile down the street; don’t have to go all the way to La Junta, all 7 miles 😄
I am watching the weirdest movie, Sinners; well sorta watching it would be more accurate. 🙄

Tea, I’m so very happy for the fun celebration you had Weds; 18 mos, i love that age! Sounds like the 1.5 lbs weight gain was worth it 💗 Great the family was able to visit Mark too; hope it helped his mental/emotional state. 🙏
