Good afternoon, we have 82 at the moment, they said 72,,,, ugggh I woke up at 4 am with some pain, took a half of a pain pill and I discovered ants on kitchen counter.. DH left a baggie on the counter and they went for that .. so spent 45 min cleaning them up..we need to fumigate, we usually do it once a year and never have a problem.. we have to be out of the house for 3 hrs.. I am surprised we haven’t gotten them before this as it has been 90 for a lot of days..need… Read more »

That is always the problem with waking up in the middle of the night and getting out of bed. If it doesn’t already just wake you up so much you can’t get back to sleep, then you find something that needs immediate attention.

we get ants sometime and wouldn’t be able to get all the pets out so DH uses a trap, puts it where pets can’t get it but near where they are and it takes care of the situation…my grandma used to put out red pepper ..I still clean with vinegar water and then spray it where there are ants

I use vinegar water to kill ants and wipe surfaces to prevent them.

Good Sunday morning friends ♥ Cloudy all morning here with showers in the afternoon. High temperature 82°. All the local weather forecasters seem to be in panic mode warning us about the upcoming severe heat wave. Just like when we have snow storms in the winter. However it does have me concerned….mainly for those who work outside and wildlife. They say triple digit temperatures Wednesday through Saturday. Wow!!! I will be off to the kitchen soon. Want to boil eggs, peel them and store away. Also will be boiling small bow pasta for pasta salad etc. I rinse it off,… Read more »

As the couple is staying up by the hospital as the father may not make it..The neighbor thought it might be to much for me right now.. I have been reading but will be heading to bed with a pain pill..DH went to be awhile ago..We had 90 today and they said was to be mid 70’s.. 62 right 12:15am.. oh how I would love some rain…so dry with so many fires everywhere… Read more »

Slept in today – partly because I stayed up so late last night watching stuff on YouTube. DSIL arrived back about noon and picked up the dogs. I worked on a few bits and pieces of tax returns. Fed birds and squirrels. When DH and I went to get the mail, we took the rest of the dog’s things over to the ADU and discussed out schedules for the next few weeks. Did a load of laundry and folded it. Temps today 50 to 67. A few brief showers, but sunny at times. Good Night all! Love & Hugs &… Read more »

Howdy-do Lovely Owl People 🦉🦉 After last night’s storm, lots of standing water and trees down all over the place 😔 Chuck made tacos yesterday, i wasn’t invited. I could smell that old oil when i went into the kitchen to make coffee this morning. Out came the 409; it was truly disgusting. Yuck!! 🤢🤢 Went to recycle today; didn’t have too much, but next Sat is July 4 😟 There must be 300 people at the little public pool located about 1/2 mile away; hope they have fun 🏊 Supposed to get to 100 today with the wind just… Read more »

Glad the storm has passed. Hope you did not have any damage. Sounds like your area got hit hard.
Sorry you were not invited for tacos, but you did get to clean up the grease…..good sister you are.
Try to keep cool Pam….that 100 degree temperature is headed our way this week.
Enjoy some ice cream. 😋

Good Saturday morning 💜 Showers this morning becoming a steady rain by afternoon.☂ High temperature of 78°. DD brought us deli turkey breast. It is the best…..just like you sliced it from homemade roasted turkey. We have been enjoying it for sandwiches the last few days.😋 May have her bring some near Thanksgiving…..have it sliced thicker for our Thanksgiving dinner. A little gravy on top turns it into a great Thanksgiving meal….at least for us. 😉 Want to boil some eggs for egg salad and small bow pasta for another salad. Off to kitchen now………….. Have a great weekend. ttfn… Read more »
