That is a cool down! Hope you enjoyed it while you could. It is kind of weird. My brother’s ashes sat in my office for about a year before we were able to get back to the east coast and bury him.
I know a family who have had their DB’s ashes for a long time..the sister told me at the visitation that she needed to talk to DH…I said well, he’s here…she never did! He is pres of one of our cemeteries. Maybe the family changed their minds and kept them or put him/them elsewhere.
We much cooler temp today 100.4 all day. They said our yesterday high was 112, the temperature station they use it on the west side of town at the fire station.. I don’t think there was much difference between our 109.5 and their 112! I made gluten-free pancakes for breakfast, and then DD & DH left to take DD back to Portland. She had to be there in the afternoon for a meeting. We wish she could have stayed longer, but not this time. I worked on paying bills and reminding clients about estimated tax payments and helping some of them figure out how much to pay or how to pay. Also filed an excise return online for a client for whom the system had been down when it was due so I gave him a paper copy to file, and he never did.… Read more »
do you eat the gluten free things too, do you notice any difference in taste if so
I try to cook gluten free for DH, but I do eat pasta and wheat products for breakfast, snacks, or lunch for myself, or when he is not around. We eat lots of rice and potatoes with our proteins. I use gluten free sauces in dishes I make (Pacific has canned Gluten-free soups). I sometimes fix frozen or fresh prepared food made by “Kevin” which is available at the grocery store. my DH often just doesn’t eat the pizza crust, mostly when we are eating at home though..not because of gluten but he tries to eat keto..hasn’t been as strict about it lately..too tired and busy
Holy moly, it got to 109.8 today even at 6:30 pm still 99, I just came from watering potted plants and put feed in the bird feeder, and cleaned the bird bath an filled with water saw 2 birds in it splashing around..saw a coyote come down our street this moring at 8:30 am.. he just ambled his way down the sidewalk ..at his good old time didn’t goin anyone’s yard…. I did a lot of cleaning in the kitchen today, not done..but I’m done for the day. DH is working out of town, will get home late..and then leave for his cemetery meeting…the dogs won’t be happy. I think I’ll just cook a pizza..we have a pizza cooker that goes around, so easy and fast..and rest …I watched AGT last night, getting near the end.
I keep forgetting to say that DS is in Albania.
