A little chilly out there, been raining off/on since last night; finally reached 50 at 4p. One result is that I no longer want to run around nekkid as a jaybird 🐦Had a couple power outages between 2-3am; i know because i was awake 🙄 hate nights when i can’t sleep. 😟 During Amazon’s Prime Days, ordered 2 warm fuzzy mats, along with 6 insulated ones for the clowder. I layered them over an old pillow in the plastic laundry basket protected from the weather elements on the porch; opened the door and saw 4 of them curled up in… Read more »

You will miss the clowder when you move.
What is your plan to remove all clowder items to show the house.

Hi Tea, yes I will miss them 😔 I’ll probably just move the food/water dishes off the porch and up onto the brick rail; still on the porch, but not in the way of walking.

Good early evening , we had a sunny 80 today, I took DH for his hair appt to get a hair cut.. we then went to fill up the car with gas, $5.89 a gal, some places are over $6.59,,, has not dropped at all. I washed the windows at the gas station, then we stopped at my pharmacy and picked up 2 prescriptions as I got notice while getting gas that they were done.so was able to get on way home..and not make another trip, I never got in the backyard as I wanted to, so may have to… Read more »

Our gas prices are similar here. Even with $1 off with grocery points, it’s still high.

Good morning. 🍂 A bit of sunshine this morning with increasing clouds by afternoon. A stray shower or thunderstorm possible. Our high will be 81° Temperatures up and down all week. Very cold by the weekend. Walmart order will arrive soon. Busy putting everything away….but at least I did not have to go to store or DH did not have to bring it all in. 👍So thankful for this service. I ordered a pumpkin to put on porch table. I will see it from my chair. Alice gave us a beautiful fall mum plant. Lovely purple flowers. I have this… Read more »

It is nice to have that delivery service available. I used it a lot during tax season when I had sciatica. Haven’t since then as I like getting out of the house and moving around – I spend way too much time at my desk. But that may eventually change.

One of my favorite things was to go food shopping each week. Making a list from my menu plan for the week. Finding good sales….I was good at that. Yes, time changes things, but we must count our blessings.

I used to like going to the grocery too; it was a soothing routine early in the morning. Now because i can’t get there very early, i just dread it. 😔

Finished those two returns today, and filed another one. Also got more info for that frustrating one, so we are making progress. Really only have that one left to finish – waiting for signatures on the rest. So that is pretty good for this year – not stressing until the last minute! Met with my church home group via zoom. Watched all the NCIS shows with DH. DH set up a flat treadmill behind the sofa so he can walk while watching TV, which is a great idea. I told him I may need to steal it from him at… Read more »

As Tea said, using the treadmill while watching TV — may even make it relatively painless.

Hope your ankle feels better today. Try to rest it a bit.
Prices going up…..we get less and pay more. Ritz PB crackers only had 5 crackers in each pack. One pack had 6 which is normal. Perhaps the cracker counter was on the fritz. 😄

Yesterday was Chelsea’s birthday, 2 of her children were born in July, 9 months later 😄 I love teasing her about that; Chelsea laughs and poor Christian turns bright red 😄 Levi, #3 child, had an orthodontia appt at 9a yesterday; he was rewarded with ice cream before heading back to school. I told him ice cream was pretty good compensation for teeth-work. 🍨 Chels said he was grinning ear to ear. Well crap, guess i have to start packing stuff up for donation/consignment. Chuck wants to put the house on the market next month, i pushed for January, now… Read more »

Thanks Gwen. We’re looking at the south side of Colo Spgs. It’ll take awhile because of living so far out in farm country.

Is that mortgage assumable? How could Chelsea have 2 kids 9 months after she was born? Or did you mean anniversary?

PamCo_Home
October 14, 2026 11:16 pm

I called the mortgage co to make sure the loan’s assumable; made me very happy to hear it was. Selling out here in the boonies won’t be easy nor quick.
