So I survived the final tax deadline! I had two efile rejections – one I mentioned last night, and the other came today and was that frustrating client. She didn’t find her Health Care tax credit form so I tried to file without it, but the system would not let me. So she needs to keep trying to contact the Washington Health Plan folks to get it. I’ll deal with them both next week, either by fixing and efiling again during grace periods or sending by snail mail. But everybody else is done! Then on to Payroll taxes. Had a… Read more »

Good afternoon, a sunny 88 degrees and the Santa Ana winds are starting to for next 2 days.. a fire at Camp Pendleton and they are evacuating people on the base.. so far burned over 400 acres.. no containment yet…First time they have had to evacuate people as all have been on open land. I did my ballot today and like you Pam a lot of propositions. And people to be judges… Lordy is right, don’t know any of them and no one running against them, we have 15 propositions to vote on, I read and reread them studied the… Read more »

Hi Gwen, hope you had a fun dinner; so nice to see DGS especially as a surprise, I remember my own grandparents being so happy with unexpected visits.
Let’s hope Santa Ana doesn’t do too much damage 🙏

We have 5 propositions, and that is a lot for us. can’t imagine 15! Hope the weather doesn’t get too bad. Glad DGS stopped by to visit as a surprise. My grandparents were all gone by the time I was 12, so no dropping in for me. We have wide generations on my side of the family, and I was the youngest in ours. By the time I was 8 my grandfather was living with us (last living grandparent), and unfortunately I did not appreciate him as I should have.

ROFL!!! A couple of years ago I had 2 cats follow me into the bathroom…..now it’s one cat AND one dog! Don’t know what the fascination is for them. Oh, my cat Buddy likes to put his paws on the toilet seat in look into the bowl just waiting for me to flush! Silly cat!

Sunny and 56 earlier, now it’s dark and gloomy along with wind that’s making it seem a lot colder. Hope we don’t lose power again today; so annoying 😠 Sure am glad i set up the electric blankie last night; i added the puffy comforter I use in the winter for tonight — we’re under freeze watch for the next 3 nights. I noticed residual kitty-fur in the baskets today; i added another layer of insulation under the soft mats for any fur-person wanting to stay. 🛏 🐈 Our regular trash day is Weds; they didn’t swing by yesterday, blaming… Read more »

Good morning 🍂 Sunshine this morning with clouds this afternoon. Rain on the way this evening. Our high today will be 68°. A lovely morning. The pumpkin on porch table is perfect for fall. I will be making Tuna Noodle Casserole for dinner tonight. I now add frozen peas and olive oil bread crumbs on top. A little twist to the classic TN recipe. Peas are not one of my favorite vegetables, but I do like frozen peas in salads and now this casserole. I know Lynn is having a great time visiting her sister. Hope we will hear all… Read more »

I like tuna fish, but in a casserole is not my favorite. Still your recipe sounds good.

No coffee with friends today because some of them are working elections part time and they are doing trainings and updating address, and processing mail it ballots as they come in. Filed a few returns today after receiving signatures and sent out some DocuSigns, and added some more information to that one last return. We’ll file it tomorrow with what we have and see what happens. Got a reject on that client whose daughter amended her return, which annoys me but we have 10 days to file a paper return so we’ll do that. Probably means they didn’t get the… Read more »

I hope today will be less frustrating for you.
Green tomatoes take a long time to ripen up….like weeks if really green. Patience grasshopper.😉
I saw this hint to ripen green tomatoes online:
Place green tomatoes in brown paper bag with apple.
Fold the top and store in warm, dry spot to ripen in 3-14 days.
