Well, got to 55 today; watched a lot of Olympics, other than that, there was nothing going on. I did order a new calendar, whoop-de-doo. 😏 My current one is from the Lighthouse Society and it’s lovely. It also has absolutely NOTHING denoting yearly holidays/events. I didn’t notice until i went to see Ash Weds/Easter. And saw all those little boxes completely empty save for the date.🙄 There’s more info on Canadian calendars.

Well, that is odd. No holidays at all? I got a calendar from the UK Barn Owl Trust one year and I was surprised to see that their calendars start with Monday on the far left and go to Sunday on the far right. It was so confusing for me to use. Nice pictures in the calendar but I never made that mistake again.

every year I get a Lang cat calendar for Christmas, has pretty good sized squares and holidays..I don’t write on that one though, it’s in a frame that DH made..I write on the free ones I get like at church, bank, etc.

Butchart Gardens puts out a lovely calendar with holidays on it; both Canada and U.S.

Good afternoon 💙 Rather cloudy this afternoon with a high temperature of 43° Weather report said we have 5 inches of snow on ground from last week. It is solid as a rock. It will take a very long time to melt. It is also keeping our temperatures lower. This winter has been dreadful for so many. Our garage doors are still not working right. Will give it more time to thaw out, before calling for service. Annual physical with primary care doctor this morning. Took blood to be tested. Pleased with weight loss, but BP was a little high.… Read more »

Glad you were still able to get to appts even with garage door issues. Guess your car was not stuck inside. Good for your primary care physician to arrange for “in home” care as much as possible.

The garage door will open from inside. When we pull out of garage….it will not shut all the way using the in car set up. He may have to re-program the in car garage door system. Too cold out to check it out now. Dh shuts the door from inside and walks out side entrance to car. Doctor said she will check to see if Medicare will cover telehealth visits for those home bound. That way I would not have to go into the office. We do not have zoom and our flip phone is dumb. A simple phone call… Read more »

Good morning…think it will be a this and that day….also I’ll have the Olympics on all day. Today and tomorrow a bit colder, highs in the 40s, then another warmup. Hope you all have a good day. 💕

Contacted the computer store in DB’s town and he is going to set up a time to go by and help DB with his computer. I hope they actually connect. Did a load of laundry and folded 2 loads. Paid bills. DH went for a walk and, despite his best planning and taking supplies with him, had to call me to come get him with the car because his blood sugar got too low. It happens, and we’ve been through this before. Glad he had his phone with him. Printed and sent out organizers. Had church zoom meeting. DD ‘s… Read more »

I can relate to the blood sugar problems, I have to plan my day around my eating schedule if I am leaving the house like to shop or eat out with my sisters, appointments and other such things…if I’m going to be in an elevator I like to keep a candy bar or something with carbs with me in case it gets stuck…the walking may have caused it to lower before he was expecting it bc exercise can do that…that Guthrie case sure is a mystery

Hello Deborah. Smart to have a candy bar handy for emergency. Take care ♥

Yeah, he had a bottle of sugared pop with him and finished the whole thing but that wasn’t good enough. The soft food diet he has been on for his gum graft surgery has made it harder for him to project his blood sugar and insulin needs. We have been through this many times – in airports unexpectedly rushing for planes, on walks, while shopping, etc. He is what they used to call “brittle”, which means hard to predict anyway. He used to carry candy bars until we moved to AZ many years ago and chocolate doesn’t work well in… Read more »

Good news your DD procedure went well yesterday.
It was good that your DH gave you a call to pick him up from his walk. Hope he felt better by evening.
Great job on finding a computer geek to help your DB with his computer issues.
Hoping for good news in the Guthrie case. Have a nice evening Chris ♥

Glad DDs procedure went well 🙏 Great that someone can stop by and help DB with is PC; sometimes over the phone can be very frustrating.

A mountain lion was encountered last night a couple balks from us.. Got the alert early this morning. Oh dear, so sorry your DH is in such pain. I am sorry that the recent procedure didn’t help much. Unfortunately, going to the doctor is necessary at times. Would be nice if they had home visits.

Hi Gwen…sorry about your DH’s pain…and yikes, a mountain lion! I worried a bit about that when DH was training in the mountains there..and a lot when he was missing for awhile a few years ago.
