Live Barn Owl Nest Box Cam – Dorset, UK
This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Had a woodpecker this morning tapping a toon on our metal vent on top of the chimney from our gas fireplace. DBIL & DSIL have had a woodpecker at their house and it is right by their bedroom and wakes them up, so they keep trying to chase him away. Must be the season. Our chimney is far from our bedroom, so this is the first I noticed it.
Hi Chris…we had that happen when we stayed at a cabin in N. Carolina years ago.
We had a woodpecker wake us up several mornings…..a rental house in the Outer Banks, NC.
Haven’t seen any of those since I left Ohio’…in 1969,,,,
We have woodpeckers in our area of PA. See them in our trees.
we see them often, and hear them. They come to a tree right near our house and to the feeder, love the suet cakes.

Good morning. ☂ Another miserable rainy day here in Yardley. 🙄 Weather person said since December 1st, the Philadelphia area has had only 12 days of sunshine. Dealing with heavy snow, below freezing temperatures and now rain for the past week. Weekend will be full of rain too. A big reward with sunshine and warmer temperatures in the beginning of next week. My battery is runny low without sunshine.

Got a tax return printed out for a client who wanted a paper copy and got it mailed. Also finally got my paperwork and summary done to send to the dentist’s office with a check for the insurance payments that came to me for 2025 due to the insurance change. Finished up the checkbooks and bills from yesterday as well. Started on and finished one tax return, filed another because I got the signature form, and updated a tax projection for that same client for 2026. Did a load of laundry and folded it. so what did you get to eat at the restaurant?
I got Thai Fried Rice with Chicken and Crab Rangoon. DH got coconut shrimp. I can’t remember what others got.

Lunch was everything it was cracked up to be. Nothing like a food truck for great food. 😋 Their main menu consists of 3 large Atlantic fried Cod with fries. I added a cup of Cole slaw which was better than expected & either root beer or Alaskan strawberry soda. After placing the order, the wait was about 30-35 mins, no ‘heat lamp’ keeping the fries warm, that’s for sure. Geez it was good.
food trucks are usually very good…there is a food truck festival in the next time which is very popular, haven’t been to it though. I do often get something from the food truck at the music in the park…there is usually just one there, a different one each time.
I am glad you enjoyed the Fish, chips and coleslaw. Beverages sound good too.
