WBU Barred Owl Nest Box Cam
Watch wild Barred Owls nesting! This page is focused on the lives of a mating pair of Barred owls at a nest box in Indianapolis, Indiana. The female will usually lay 2-3 eggs in the beginning part of March and incubate them for 28-32 days before the first egg hatches. The male provides food for the female while she incubates. There are two cameras providing an inside and outside view. The tree where the nest box is mounted has a metal sleeve on the trunk to prevent any predators from entering. I just found out the eggs were laid on March 11 and March 14, incubation is typically 28-33 days making this day 26, so looks like there should be a hatch sometime in the next seven days! possibly Wednesday for the first egg?

this little mama has two eggs, don’t know when they were laid so don’t know when they will hatch…incubation period is 28 to 33 days so maybe they are halfway thru? just a guess… just mom incubates
