Not I but Denny grew up having saltine crackers with ice cream at his Grandmother’s house, I had not ever heard of that. Always harlequin ice cream too. 😀

Good Morning! We had a little rain overnight with more possible this afternoon. At 10 AM it’s mostly cloudy and 63 going up to 71.
I slept in this morning until around 7:15 AM. I usually get up by 6 AM.
Craig and I are in the car on the way to visit his mother for a couple of hours.
Yesterday I took a close-up pic of our Sango Kaku Japanese Maple leaves changing to their Fall colors.

Good morning…Jenn, yesterday I didn’t walk with my sister and mom..they went to the cemetery and park that we’d already gone to earlier…of course at a slower pace. I did go out to eat with them (Pizza Hut) and we were the only ones there, which is the norm for Pizza Hut…all the other restaurants were packed and noisy. It was good..I got the cheese Flatzz and bread sticks with marinara…still have some left. We got cobbler near the carriage rides (the starting place), I got blueberry. Your Pizza Hut meal sounds very tasty 😋
Pizza Hut does seem to not be so busy anymore. Someone said they will be the next big chain to close up. I like their individual pan pizzas. They use to have a salad bar that was good too. It seems like you live near a magical village with Cinderella carriages and lots of outdoor fairs and music. Must be lots of fun.😊
magical village sounds like the actual village about 20 minutes away…my town is kind of big, started having events several years ago with the mayor we had then, to bring people in from out of town, good for businesses, little shops and restaurants.

Good afternoon, I have just been on the Deer cam at Eastern Backwoods and I don’t understand what they are saying to me about feeding the Deer which stops on the Ist January because of spreading disease ! Does anyone know about Deer and why they are only fed at certain times and how feeding them for a period of time stops problems spreading.? I wish I knew more about Deer and their explanation about not feeding them come January.
I wasn’t sure about that but I did find this information on Google.
You should stop feeding deer in January because it concentrates them in unnatural groups, which dramatically increases the risk of spreading diseases like Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) through saliva and other bodily fluids. Feeding also causes digestive problems if deer eat unnatural foods like corn, as their stomachs are not equipped to handle the sudden change in diet, and it can ultimately lead to starvation and death.
Good morning, Yesterday was in the mid-70’s and sunny, a beautiful summer like day. I did find a pair of jeans at JCPenney, after trying on about 10 pairs. The styles are so varied, they have the wide leg, the barrel leg (strange), the straight leg ( which I bought ) and boot cut and more! Its funny I don’t like 3/4 length sleeves as my arms gets cold and I keep trying to pull the sleeve down just doesn’t work for me but then its cold here not like your warmer weather ! 🙂
Hi Jenn..I miss Penney’s…I’m surprised when I hear of some still open, actually..thought most had closed. I buy my jeans at the farm supply store usually but last time found three pairs at a thrift shop for $3 apiece and liked them better than the ones I usually get..they fit well and look nice.
That is great you found 3 pair at the thrift store you liked. I should check there more often.
I have always liked Penney’s and am very happy they are still here in S. Carolina. We have one in Maine, in the town my son lives in.
I have to try on most clothing, if I mail order it often dose not fit right. Yesterday I tried on several pair to finally like the ones I bought. I have 2 pair of wide leg now are okay but heavier and it is too warm right now to wear heavy pants.

If Ardy was nervous about flying and making her flights when she left AZ I can’t imagine how nervous she must be now. I feel so sorry for her, it is scary to not know and she has the 2 hour ride to the airport and then could find out the flight not leaving maybe?

Hi Ice…we have oak trees all around so wait until they mostly come down..and actually the leaf trucks start coming around next week so think I’ll rake just some to the curb..not really supposed to rake so can’t do much, though..my helper will get the rest in late Nov or early December and just dump them in the ravine..DH said he’ll probably mow over some, also.
We need a leaf truck but I guess that will never happen !
