Thanks Pam ❤️ It was actually quite refreshing being outside in the cool rain. While driving there (45 minutes away) we were in some heavy rain but it was only lightly raining when we arrived at 9:00 AM. And within thirty minutes the rain completely stopped 😊

Good morning…last night we went out to a restaurant for our fish dinners…it was good but still want to get the takeout ones that we eat at home and I share some with my mom..we have some running around to do today and thankfully it’s not really windy like yesterday.

Deena posted this yesterday, after her appointment. She is in for a tough time and would appreciate prayers for her. Also her daughter Tracy, was hospitalized yesterday for asthma attack that the medicines were not controlling. She is on oxygen and do not know how she is this morning. Also, her son-in-law, Danny, collapsed the night before last and in the hospital possible stroke. His daughter was there and so he was not alone, she called for EMS. Deena is a wreck of nerves. Deena Well I am back! Good news, and bad news.I do have two types of lymphoma. The good… Read more »

Some positive news for Deena
But not such good news for her daughter Tracy and Deena’s SIL.
No wonder she is a bag of nerves.😥🙏

Good news she can have treatments but I hope they do not take a toll on her. I don’t know if I could go through Chemo to be honest. She will lose all her thick pretty hair. She barely has a gray hair on her head, pretty brunette hair like my moms.
Not that that is more important than her healing but it is kinda sad.

Great news about Deena 🎈🎉🎉 But, not so good about about Tracy and Danny. Is Danny Tracy’s husband?

Jenn
February 21, 2026 7:44 am

Danny is Kelly’s husband, Kelly is Deena’s 4th daughter after Tracy, Ella ( who lives in Wisconsin ) and Pammy. Then she had Joey a boy and much later in life she had Blair! Whew!

Good morning, Rain is due to start shortly and will rain all day. Yesterday I dropped the coffee pot when I was moving it, it slid off and crashed into splinters. Denny tried to find a replacement pot but you really can’t anymore it seems, so he picked up another coffee pot at Walmart. Having my first sips now it taste good and hot. I did the vinegar/water clean to it that they recommend before using. We met the people from Maine, very nice couple. They are only staying here some winter months, she said she could never leave her… Read more »

Hi Jenn!
Bummer about your coffee pot!! I just buy the Walmart brand similar to Mr Coffee and have been happy with them.
I still have letters, cards, all my postcards sent to me, concert stubs etc
I still send lots of cards.

We grew up to value those things Ardy. I have postcards my brother sent me when he was in the Navy and he traveled all over the world. I have ticket stubs and just a box full of memories that I treasure.

Hi Jenn
I’m so sorry about your coffee pot but thankful Denny found a decent replacement.
Yeah, I’m one who has cut way back from mailing cards. It’s mainly because of the cost of postage stamps.
I also have a pretty box of keepsakes 💕

Oh UGH, sorry about your coffee pot. 😟

I agree with this. I took Mom to a Bronco game many, many years ago. When she passed away, I found the stub of the ticket in her dresser drawer. I carry both hers/mine in my wallet. 🤗

Good Morning! Yesterday we reached a high of 80. Raining and 56 going up to 63. Thankfully Craig is feeling better today. Despite the rain, we have plans to leave around 8:00 AM to drive to Creekside Nursery. They are a family-owned plant nursery in Dallas, North Carolina specializing in annuals, perennials, shrubs and gardening supplies, with a focus on Proven Winners plants. After being closed for the winter, they will reopen for Saturdays only through the end of February. Craig and I wanted to be there this morning for the opening of their 2026 season. We both have some… Read more »

Good morning Kathy,
Since you told us before about your mom’s saying about going out in the rain, I find myself saying it to myself now.😀
How nice Craig is feeling better and you are off for a super fun day at the Nursery, I love going to them.
Have a lovely day.💖

Good morning
Yesterday was another day of doing nothing. It was cold out. Rick made tacos for supper.
We have some very nice weather coming that makes me happy, warm enough overnight for me to maybe start walking again.

Good Saturday morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
A cloudy day again but up in the 50F range and even a tad higher as the week progresses.
Not a lot of sunshine on offer but at least temp’s are on the up with light winds at last.
Paper in hand a bit more traffic today more people out shopping early but traffic moving well.
All the Daffodils on the Green are now in flower looks very Spring like.
No coming frosts either to make them bow their heads.
Time for the coffee fix now catch you all soon.😀😘.

Good morning Ice,
Seems amazing the Daffodils blooming now with the cold you had recently. Maybe all the rain woke them up early.🤗 They are
so pretty to look out at, like little sunshine’s all yellow.💛

Hi Jenn.
Lovely to watch them pop up on the Green every year and they are multiplying as well every year.
You seem to be in a wrecking mode coffee pot this time.
Hope the new one did not spoil the taste you are used to.😀😘
