Good morning, Back at camp and all is well. I do not think I am getting anymore Hummingbirds. I left a fresh feeder Tuesday morning before we left for Brunswick and it looks like barely any is gone. I put out fresh as soon as we got back Sis Barb is coming for coffee and a visit this morning. I sorted lots of my material and have some to give her. Hi Jenn How nice Barb is coming over this morning. I bet you got caught in labor day traffic. I may have posted here that our hummingbirds go crazy when it rains. The other day when it was raining I brought both the feeders in and cleaned them which takes a minute or two. That must have been exciting Ardy. I would love that! We only had the mom Hummingbird we called Honey and then her tow offspring we believe since she led them to the feeder. She left a bit ago and the little ones were still here chasing each other at the feeder. Once in awhile a different one would come but was chased off I think. I had a male a few times and thought it was one of the siblings at first.
That really was exciting…it was a first for me!!!
The bats should be coming in a couple weeks or so.🦇🦇🦇🦇

Good Saturday morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. A chilly morning just 50F and my windows are misting up outside. Autumn Just around the corner now soon the CH will be firing up. Still no real rain so the drought carries on in most of the South of the country. The North and Scotland have had plenty of rain so no drought there now. Yeah, where I live in North Carolina El Nino could possibly cause us to have more cold and snow/ice than usual. If that’s true I’m not looking forward to it and will long for the heat wave rather than a cold wave 😘
My banana cake and cream cheese frosting turned out great. Sure is more work than making banana bread!!

Thanks it is very good, the cake is very good. It’s just a lot more work than it is making banana bread. I keep it in the refrigerator because of the heat in the house and I do love eating cream cheese frosting when it’s been in the refrigerator
I love cool frosting too but I find the refrigerator kind of dries out the cake.
We picked up a birthday cake for Charlotte at the grocery bakery yesterday. I put it in the refrigerator to keep the frosting good.
I love baking and the process of measuring out the ingredients so it is a ‘labor of love’ to me…lol
I do not care for recipes that have a lot of steps….Rick doesnt bake but I find him many recipes which lots of steps.
I am kinda proud of myself after baking sometimes. It just recent years that i have taken an interest in baking….2020 when we stuck at home I started baking more.
I miss Laura, she sure loved getting what i baked….no matter how it turned out.
I used to enjoy baking for people..like new neighbors and elderly neighbors, and a couple people at the nursing home that I knew…they have all moved or gone now and I don’t like to bake for just me. I could bake for my mom but she gets plenty of treats, lol

Just wanted to let you all know my brother Rick passed away this morning; he is at peace — those schizophrenic demons in his head have been laid to rest.

Good Morning! It’s still HOT here with a Heat Wave Advisory in effect but we should get somewhat of a break on Labor Day. At 9:20 AM it’s 79 but with the heat index it feels like 85. The high is expected to be 97 with the ‘real feel’ over 100 🥵 I’ve been very busy with numerous things and today is no exception. I haven’t had time to check in here so I apologize. Good morning, Cloudy today but no rain. The whole mid-coast area barely got any rain yesterday and our area needs it the most. Yesterday Denny put together the over the toilet stand and I love it. Has a big cabinet on the top which we need with little cupboard space in the bathroom. I redid the shelves in the wooden stand which is up to the ceiling in the pantry, laundry room. Well my post just went POOF~~~~~~~~~~ Grrrrr I went for my eye exam yesterday morning. They were busy and running behind. But I visited with this man who was waiting for an exam too after me. I am getting the frames i saw in MN. They have the clip on sunglasses that I love. I was going to get a blue cheaper frame for a second pair but even though they looked good I felt they were boring so I picked out a second pair.
